“From the seed to the flower, from the cocoon to the butterfly, from the womb to birth, the miracle of creation starts its journey from darkness and then emerges into the light. The creation itself does not obey any gender, time, or restrictions but it is universal and belongs to all of us. With the series of artworks YONI, WOMB, BIRTH, and COEXIST, Melie C. intends to celebrate this null space between conception and result, during which darkness is prevalent and many magical incidents are taking place. A reminder that we need to value not only the beginning or the result of something but all the in-between stages too.”
